A number of years ago I attended a painting class hosted by Lily. I am no artist, but with Lily’s instructions I created paintings I am very proud of!
If you would like to try painting I highly recommend Lily. I guarantee you will not be disappointed with your creation!

First time painting with Lilly, I also brought my 2 friends. I must say we were very impressed with the whole experience. From Lilly meeting us and making us feel at home in her studio. I have had many different teachers and i am over the moon with the whole ambiance of learning to paint with Lilly.
We are so looking forward to many more classes with Lilly. Her studio is big, bright, comfortable. The layout was easy for Lilly to teach and help individuals. She is very people person, enjoys laughing. The bonus also were the other ladies were all so nice and easy to chat and compare our painting ideas.
Thank you Lilly till we meet again take care.

Thank you Lily for an amazing Paint Event. It was more than just painting. We laughed and bonded together. Lily was very patient and positive with a joking personality. Lily taught us a variety of brush strokes and techniques. My husband commented, "There's no way you painted that especially for your first try". Can't wait for the next paint event!

Simply Perfect!
I'm terribly embarrased that I waited this long to write a review for such a delightful stay in September 2019. But, Lily gave me this wonderful mug which I promised myself I would not take out of its protective plastic until I wrote this review. More than 6 months later, I am keeping my promise to myself, but moreso to Lily & Steve who are just about the most kind and gracious people I have met.
I was in town, alone, to attend the wedding of a colleague at a nearby winery. I'm normally a five start hotel girl, and in the general vicinity of this quaint area, I'm not sure I could even find a three star- and- even then I felt sort of hesitant.
My flight was delayed and I landed in a total downpour during rushhour in Toronto. I arrived to Lily's later than expected, but no less welcome! Lily was there to give me a walk around, explain everything in the room, the house, the area. Lily is full of energy, creativity, intuition. I was exhausted and she could tell- and- in another place, like a generic hotel, I probably would have grabbed some take out and hit the shower and bed. But, I think Lily could sense my overall awkward feeling, being in town for a wedding, alone- not really wanting to go out on the town and eat alone.
I am only telling you this part because it was such an act of kindness and care that you would never experience in a regular hotel, not even a 5 star. Lily offered to make me some homemade Chinese dumplings. I insisted that she shouldn't and I would be just fine and she has already done so much for me by spending time with me. But, of course she insisted several times over- and on a cool rainy night it sounded so good! I can't promise you nor should you ask Lily to make them for you but this personal touch was extraordinary and appreciated. She sat me in the art studio and brought me some tea and dumplings. Surrounded by her father's artwork, I felt like I was at the home of family, even a sister.
As we discussed art, and Lily explained how her art studio worked, before I knew it, I was painting! You can see the beautiful painting she helped me create in my attached photos (She is a tough teacher, be warned!).
I stayed in the center room on the riverside. I'm embarrassed to say I cannot remember which season it was (the 4 rooms represent the 4 seasons). Nevertheless, the room was spotless, deliberately very clean, and cozy (but not small). Every little touch is well thought out. The bathroom cleaner than my own and, the shower delightful with double heads. Anything you need, is right there. If had a lot of work to do on Saturday and I sat facing the river and worked on my laptop all day (maybe snuck in a nap) and I was just so happy. That day's breakfast, made by Steve and Lily was so delicious and so filling, I didn't even think about lunch and I had the wedding at 5pm anyway.
Steve- how could I have written so much and neglected to mention him yet! (Sorry Steve!) Steve is down to earth, happy and friendly and just as gracious as Lily. The two of them are adorable together and during breakfast, I felt like I was with siblings. There were two other couples there and during breakfast, Lily facilitated conversation among us, and it made me feel so much better than being in a hotel eating marginal food alone. In the hour of breakfast I learned so much about the other people, the area, and what they were their to do. It was unique. The food was so good. So good. Better than a breakfast at any 5-star hotel, any day.
I'm not sure what I missed here and I'm sorry I've written a novel. But, I know what's it's like when you are traveling and you don't know where to stay and there is no trusty hotel chain in the area. I like my privacy and I like the come and go anonymity that hotel stays bring. But, Lily's on the 12 is unlike the stuffy bed and breakfasts that you picture. It's modern, clean, personal yet not intrusive and private but not lonely. Let me take this moment to thank Lily and Steve for a wonderful two night stay. You two are extremely special and I have thought about my visit many times.
Down to the details:
Parking- simple - no problem- diagonal on a driveway, a space for each room
Clean or cleaner than your own home
Private, you have your own code to get in and out of the house
Heavy luggage? Lily will make Steve carry it!
Like to relax all day in your room without anyone bugging you? Perfect
Should you plan an art lesson or class with Lily before you arrive? Definitely.
I hope you enjoy your stay! I am a picky picky picky person when it comes to hotels. I took the risk of staying in a B&B and, in the end, was better for it. Thank you Lily & Steve!

This was our first stay at Lily’s House on the 12. Everything was top notch about our visit. The directions when you first arrive to get inside were perfect. We were greeted by one of the owners Steve. He gave us a great recommendation for dinner for a place that we could walk to. To say that the room was clean is an understatement. It was spotless and the place is almost three years old. The screened in porch was also very nice as well as the large shower. The breakfasts that I had both mornings were amazing. Presentation and taste was wonderful. We enjoyed talking with Lily too. Even though she will tell you that she did not have experience in this business, she was a very fast learner. It is very close to the Henley Regatta for anyone who rows too. I would highly recommend this place and we will definitely go back again. Thanks for a great stay Lily

This was our second stag at Lily's house; we had a tremendous experience both times. Lily and Steve are delightful hosts. The breakfasts were excellent. We stayed this time in the Autumn Room and really enjoyed the morning and evening breezes on the balcony while sipping coffee and tea. The view of the river is wonderful, having quite a calming effect on me. If you have the time, take Lily up on one of her painting classes; I didn't think I would have so much fun painting, but Lily made it another great experience of our stay. A magical place
Lily's House is located along the 12 Mile Creek, which is really a river. adjacent a lovely walking trail that goes on for longer than we stayed on it. And you can walk to parts of town, a small park and where there was a fair going on at the time. There is parking in front of the house - it's a quiet area and we slept well. It's a short drive to the tourist destinations, and we found other things at Lily's that can't be found at tourist spot, which made the trip and visit extra special.
Each room (there are 4) are named after a season. We stayed in the Spring room, which was surprisingly the largest of the 4, as we had booked the last remaining room. It has a large 4-season sunroom with a view of the river and an electric fireplace. Three of the 4 rooms have river views, the other faces the backyard which is attractive as well. There is a shared coffee/fridge area nearby and they are in the process of adding individual coffee/fridges to each room. There's medium sized LCD TV with Hulu and Netflix access, though we didn't have much time for this. Breakfast is 9 am but may be flexible. The rooms are modern as it the B&B, not one of the antique types. The B&B and bedrooms are adorned with beautiful paintings of China, made by Lily's Dad a local artist who has an international reputation.
Which brings me to one of the unique aspects of our visit, which is the art. If it's possible to fail art class, I probably would have. However, Lily also teaches beginners experientially in a studio on the main floor. This was totally unexpected, but with our 2-night stay, Lily offered us the opportunity to paint a picture. The image of my stick figures of a couple and a dog came to my mind, however it was unbelievable, to us and our family, what we were able to create.
This attached image, was one of the simpler options to choose from - there are dozens. It was challenging and we needed some help, but it was a great couple’s activity. Lily was extremely patient and generous with her time and energy - boundless energy really - which enabled us to create our own special memory of the visit, and have the joy of artistic creation.
Lily's breakfasts are also adventurous a fusion of eastern and western tastes. They are healthy, and just the right size. Steve and Lily are very attentive hosts and excellent conversationalists with a great sense of humour.. We are so sorry to have to leave this magical place. We truly enjoyed our stay at Lily's House on the 12, received both emotional and physical sustenance, much more than expected. And we would certainly return to stay again next time in the Niagara region.
Thank you Lily and Steve 😊

Amazing Bed and Breakfast!!!
From the moment we booked to our check out; everything was perfect and we have zero complaints! The room was very spacious, comfy and clean.
After we had booked this location, my boyfriend had injured his ankle and could not put any weight on it. I emailed Lily and asked about accessibility as I was worried about the stairs. She promptly emailed back with pictures of the stair lift that’s installed at her place and I was instantly relieved.
I was also in a wedding on the day of our check in and she was able to accommodate the check in time for us. My brother and boyfriend went to check in and she showed them how to use the stair lift and was very understanding of our situation.
Our room was perfect; the washroom was very clean and had a his and hers/dual shower head which was very convenient and cool!
The breakfast they provided in the morning was delicious! Because we were at a wedding the night before, Lily kindly asked if we wanted to push our breakfast time back so that we can rest longer. She also did not rush us to to check out and allowed us to stay a little past our check out time so we can finish up breakfast and pack up. Lily also showed us her beautiful art studio!
Our stay here was absolutely wonderful! They were very accommodating and made our stay seamless and comfortable.
I HIGHLY recommend choosing this lovely bed and breakfast if you are vacationing in the area or even a weekend getaway!

We were on Motorcycles and Lily and Steve gave up one of their garage spots so we could park the bikes indoor for the nights, this does not happen often so it was very very appreciated. Always wonderful!
I have stayed at Lily's 3 times now, and already booked for a November girls stay. I will return over and over again. I would say this is more set up like a Boutique hotel than a B&B, very private rooms with bathrooms, balconies etc. A wonderful spot central to Niagara on the Lake wineries, Niagara Falls, and the outlet mall. The feel is like you are in the country, but you are 5 minutes from restaurants, etc. I can't say enough for this experience other than I am never disappointed!! Lily and Steve are very warm and welcoming, and have everything figured out to perfection!!

Perfect and unique blend of modern and traditional B&B
Lily and Steve run an excellent B&B that you will enjoy. It is rare to find a spot that provides the boutique style of accommodation that can really elevate your getaway. The combination of comforts of a hotel (private bathrooms, large rooms, balconies, comfortable beds with nice linens) with the special touches of a B&B and some unique features makes this a can’t miss spot. I really appreciated the thought that went into amenities: down to small touches like frozen water bottles in the guest kitchen freezer to use as ice packs for day pack coolers and black washcloths to use for makeup removal. The breakfast was excellent, served in a room with a great view of the creek. The breakfast room allows the special B&B feature of learning more about the region from your hosts and mingling with fellow guests. Lily also teaches art classes (a fun activity for guests) and the beautiful art on the walls is another special boutique feature.
The group stays sound like such a fun idea, I would definitely recommend a trip to Lily’s House on the 12!

Charming facility in an excellent location!
We recently stayed at Lily's House on the 12 for 5 days. We cannot say enough how much we enjoyed our stay. The daily breakfasts were delicious and different each day, prepared with Lily's special flourish. Our room was lovely, with a view of the 12Mile Creek and a wonderful patio on which I spent several hours reading and observing the various ducks, geese and passing people. The artwork with which Lily has decorated the facility is beautiful, and even more special because her father is the artist, a well known Chinese artist in his home country. Steve and Lily are truly wonderful hosts, sharing of their time and willing to make sure everyone feels comfortable and welcomed. We will definitely stay here when we return to St. Catharines next year.

Gathered 10 friends and family to finally see the magnificent Lily’s House on the 12.
I had heard about Lily’s for awhile. Finally got there, and WOW, wish I had found it sooner. We arrived for a paint class, mingled with some wine, and then Lily walked us through the background of our paintings. While this dried, we entered the most amazing room filled with glass and natural light, the dining area. We were speechless. Attention to detail, homemade Asian menu, in cute bento boxes. Following dinner we returned to our paintings to complete our masterpieces ...and our wine. Lol. We are not PICCASSO’S but we Learned some interesting techniques, taught by Lily that made our art, frame worthy.
The property itself is amazing. Designed by the owners ,aware of what they wanted to create. We had a tour of the B and B rooms. SO BEAUTIFUL! Lily and Steve have thought of everything a guest might need during their stay.
We are already planning a slumber party/ paint/ wine / over night girls night.

So I literally can't even describe how amazing this place is. As soon as I drove up, Steve and Lily were there to greet and welcome me. I have anxiety and two toddlers and was really looking forward to a night of unwinding to celebrate my birthday. I couldn't have chosen a better place. Having never been to a BnB, I didn't know what to expect and was so nervous, but this gracious couple was so welcoming. I slept in a perfectly decorated room (the summer suite) with a beautiful view of the water, a cozy bed, and a modern feel that made me wish I lived there. This place is pristine, warm and calming. I was offered a paint class free of charge from Lily as I was alone and not planning on going anywhere, and celebrating my 27th. The class was so fun and invigorating, and now I have a lovely canvas to remember my experience. I am convinced lily has the ability to teach anyone how to paint and her teaching rivaled that of some of my college painting teachers. The breakfast was also scrumptious and beautifully presented. Lily created a risk free environment where we didn't feel rushed; the evening started with wine, non alcoholic beverage and an icebreaker game where we learned a little bit about everyone including her. She allowed each one of us to pick out the colours in our own pallet. Her art techniques were explained in simple form so everyone reached success. Lily also made us a home cooked dinner, a selection we chose and it was authentic and sumptuous. We even were able to get a tour of her B & B. We all raved about our evening - definitely would do it again!!!

Paint Night
Lily operates the best paint night I have ever attended. I have been at least four times to her place. She excellent value for your money. The food is fantastic. The setting is beautiful. The area where you paint has really good lighting and her teaching style is fun and informative. Lily is always striving to make it the best experience for her guests. She puts her heart and soul into it and it shows. You are not just a guest, but a friend. I highly recommend paint night as a social activity to experience.

Great Place and Great Fun!
We came to Lily's for a paint nite and it was fantastic! Lily was so warm and welcoming, her teaching style put all of us "non-artists" at ease, and the bento box supper she provided as part of our paint nite experience was DELICOUS! We are already talking about coming back to try our hand at another painting. Her house is beautiful and we all agreed that we would love to get away here for an overnite gals weekend, even though we all live locally! Definitely stay here if you want a warm welcome to the Niagara Region!

Unexpected and wonderful. Lily is a most gracious host and her art is amazing. We stayed two nights while attending the Shaw Festival in Niagara on the Lake. The rooms are modern and immaculate. Porches with river view. A rain room type shower that we loved and unexpected amenities. Breakfast was served in a bento box and the food was first class. We attend the Shaw Festival annually and Lily’s is now part of that trip.

This was our first bed and breakfast experience and because of how we were treated, it won't be the last. We stayed in the Summer Room and loved it! The room was very clean, comfortable bed and the shower was greatness with the two shower heads. Our view overlooking 12 Mile Creek was especially nice. Staying at Lily’s on the 12th was the highlight of our trip to Niagara Falls.
We arrived late on our check in date. Lily was concerned about us and communicated how to get into our room via email. We stayed in the “Spring” room. Loved it- especially the 2 “rain” shower heads. Bed was very comfortable. We liked the balcony overlooking the river. We stayed 2 nights and the breakfasts Lily prepared were delicious. We also enjoyed an afternoon of painting for remembrance of our 25 th wedding anniversary. Lily was very patient with our lack of artistic skills. You’ll love all the artwork hanging everywhere. We highly highly highly recommend this fabulous B and B. We will definitely stay here again. And we’ve told a lot of people about how lovely Lily is and her charming B and B.

From the moment we arrived at this unique B&B, we were treated to exceptional service that exceeded our expectations in every way. From the warm welcome by hosts Lily and Steve, to the scrumptious meals, the painting and cooking classees with Lily, the immaculate yet comfortable bedrooms with private baths, and the magnificent views of the 12 Mile Creek, we knew we had chosen an ideal spot for our reunion. We spent an entire week at Lily's bed and breakfast. It was one of the best accommodations we have ever stayed at -- and we travel a lot. The property was beautiful and immaculately cared for. Lily went out of her way to prepare us delicious vegetarian breakfasts every day, and we loved her energy and passion for her business. The home is also full of beautiful art -- both Lily's and her father's. Steve was also a great host and because we are considering moving to St. Catharines, he spent time helping us and showing us the city. This B&B is a great base for exploring this beautiful region. In addition to being a beautiful, very functional space, this B&B has two of the loveliest hosts I've encountered.

There are great shared amenities, including a common space with seating and games, basic kitchen needs like a kettle and microwave, and some additional features like a full size clothing steamer.
The food Lily serves is unique and delicious, and Lily and Steve are as present as you want them to be. We loved their company and welcomed their conversation over breakfast.

Lily and Steve were the perfect hosts for our group of seven ladies weekend away. We stayed in four charming rooms each one absolutely spotless and beautifully furnished, each bedroom had its own large modern well equipped bathroom. We were able to walk out of our bedrooms to relax and enjoy time together in the common area or step out on to one of their many balconies and enjoy coffee and take in the beautiful view of the river. This location is a perfect spot for hikes along the river and so close to the many wineries, dining and shopping in the area as well as a trip to Niagara Falls on the charming Town on Niagara on the Lake.
Our breakfasts and dinners were delicious we thoroughly enjoyed Lily’s great cooking skills and she took the time to prepare separate meals for one of us in the group who is vegetarian and has food allergies.
We laughed and enjoyed time together with Lily who instructed us in her art studio feeling like accomplished artists when we all left with our own painting crestions.
Lily and Steve worked hard together to make our weekend experience so much fun we booked our rooms already for our next years weekend getaway were we plan on taking one of Lily’s cooking classes. What a great happy experience we all had.

Loved the location -country in the city and the view from our window was so calming (too cold to take advantage of their wonderful balconies). The privacy factor was big as the rooms are located in an area separate from where the owners live and was nice to be the only one there but I believe all the rooms are soundproofed and have washrooms. We took advantage of the table and cards in the main area and the bed was very comfortable.
The breakfast was unique and yummy and the hosts were a lovely couple who were very interested in getting to know us and we were able to connect our businesses as well. Steve and Lily have great personalities to go along with their home. If you don't stay there you will be missing out on a great opportunity.
See you in the near future. Tim and Kim J

Staying at Lily's House was amazing. Both Lily an Steve are so hospitable, kind, and friendly. Had fun spending time and chatting with them throughout our stay. Upon arrival Lily showed us around her place. They invited us for a hot pot dinner, which was a very enjoyable experience. Food was very delicious and Lily made her own special hot pot sauce; which was also super delicious. For breakfast, it was more like brunch, so we saved a lot of money on breakfast and lunch. It was very healthy - filled with plenty of vegetables and fruits. Lily also made homemade Chinese sesame balls with red bean paste, really good. The rooms are just spectacular! Wonderful view of the 12 mile river. There was a fireplace in our room (Summer Room). Two person shower; which is very convenient with saving time. The washroom had plenty of towels to utilize. It also had a hair dryer, a magnified mirror on the side. Everything was just so new, fresh, and modern. To access your suite was unique, using a pin pad. The bed was comfortable and filled with lots of pillows. The closet had a luggage placement and lights. Water bottles were provided, homemade cookies (to die for) and peanut bags. There is WiFi and a TV in the room. The balcony in our room, still with the river view, had plenty of comfortable seats to enjoy your tea, coffee, or beer. There is also a place to hang out in, if you want to play board games, etc. In the same area there is a little kitchen where you can make coffee and tea. The dining area was just utterly beautiful with copies of Lily's father's magnificent paintings (which is all over the place), a light fixture made from scratch out of birch branches and Christmas lights. The dining table is long and decorated wonderfully with flowers. This place is paradise. I will definitely come back and hopefully soon!I

Went to Lily's for a paint nite, and got way more than I expected! When we arrived we relaxed with a drink in her beautiful gallery, got to work in her cute and cozy studio as she guided us through starting our chosen painting. Then we took a break to enjoy an incredibly delicious bento box! Lily joined us and was genuinely interested in getting to know us, and shared a great deal about herself as well. She took photo and video of us, and made a great little video of our evening! This is more than just a paint nite, its a full and super enjoyable night out! If you have never tried this I highly recommend!! Dont waste your time on a thrown together "paint nite" at a public restaurant.. This is the real deal!

Situated on a quiet road near the St Catharines river. The amenities provide a very zen atmosphere. The owners are attentive to their guests' needs, and each bedroom has it's own bathroom. A big plus for a bed & breakfast. Lily brings an Asian touch to her copious breakfast. Could barely finish it!❤

The location is a semi-secluded oasis in the city. Views were fantastic with a large well appointed balcony overlooking the water. Our "Spring" room was large, beautifully decorated and peppered with Lily's father's amazing art. Everything was pristine clean. The delicious abundant breakfasts are served in a lovely dining area overlooking the water. The delicious food was only surpassed by the generous, welcoming hospitality of our hosts Lily and Steve!! We as well met and shared breakfast conversations with charming international guests there from France and Amsterdam. Overall an amazing experience we hope to repeat soon. Highly recommend you visit this B & B.

The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The private bathroom was well finished and had every amenity that we needed. Breakfast was a real treat! Served in a bento box and thoughtfully prepared - Steve and Lily are excellent hosts. If we were staying longer, we would have loved to join for one of the wine/painting dinners. We would definitely revisit this property, when in the area.

Great location, nice and quiet and scenic, the bedrooms were very clean, comfortable and really nice balcony to sit and relax over looking the river. The amenities were good with complimentary tea and coffee, use of washing machine and drier, also really well laid out communal space. The breakfast was interesting, freshly cooked while sat at the table, all with a subtle Chinese twist. Empty plates each day! Lily and Steve were fantastic hosts, very knowledgeable of the local area and interesting to chat with. Will definitely stay again if in the area.

The food was fantastic, every morning we got a delicious breakfast with more food than we could finish! I liked that they added an Asian flair to the food and we had hotpot on the first night which was delicious! The bedrooms were lovely and big and we had a massive clean double shower which was lovely. We were at the back of the property and our room had a massive deck to ourselves which was so peaceful and lovely. We used it as a base to travel to NOTL and the beamsville wine region and we were absolutely thrilled with our booking.

We were traveling back to Northern Michigan from a Christmas visit with our daughter's family in Concord, Massachusetts. Rather than spending the night in Niagra Falls, we opted to try something different and stay in St Catherine's. We found Lily's on the internet and thought it looked unique and interesting. We were not disappointed! Lily and Steve are excellent hosts, offering us a hot pot meal and a glass of wine after our long day of travel. Sharing a meal with them allowed us to learn about their dream of opening up the B&B and the art gallery showcasing her father's amazing paintings on rice paper which are expertly hung throughout the home. The room was immaculate, the bed comfortable and the breakfast in the bento box simply amazing. Thank you Steve and Lily, we will be back!

An amazing little b&b with the best hosts you could hope for! Lily and Steve were so welcoming, we arrived late & hungry after visiting Niagara falls (a 20 minute drive away) Lily insisted on making us her wonton soup which was delicious and only beaten by the breakfast! The rooms are big, very clean and comfortable. There was a welcome basket on the bed, a lovely balcony and an ensuite! The whole place has a lovely modern Chinese style to it, with lots of authentic art and decoration! You won't be disappointed with your stay!! Thank you Lily and Steve!

Amazing Stay!
My husband and I stayed with Lily and Steve for our first anniversary celebration. The house was gorgeous and was right on 12 mile creek! Our room was beautifully appointed and meticulously clean. We signed up for an art class and dinner in the studio the night we arrived. It was a lot of fun and the meal (and breakfast the following morning) was absolutely delicious. Before we departed, Steve was able to offer suggestions for the day and even printed out a map and directions for us. We enjoyed some of Lily's cookies as a parting gift. We cannot wait to plan our next visit!

Superb in every respect.
We were trying to find somewhere that was close to Niagara falls and having been warned that the town of Niagara itself leaves a lot to be desired, we looked for a place at Niagara on the Lake. That whole town turned out to be fully booked so we went for nearby Saint Catharines, which turned out to be a very good location to base ourselves. It is a smallish town but has plenty of good eateries within walking distance of Lily's house on the 12. When we found Lily's house on the 12 on the web, we were a little concerned because there had been so few reviews. When we arrived, it became immediately obvious that they had only just started up their business as a B+B. Lily is Chinese and Steve is a Canadian of Dutch descent. They were excellent hosts. So what was it like? In a nutshell, superb in every respect. Firstly the location is simply stunning! The property overlooks what we thought was a fast flowing river. In actual fact, it is a manmade waterway that is part of the complex waterway system that links Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. Photos cannot do enough justice to the view that is there from the balconies at the front of the building. The building itself is a very modern structure that felt a little Bauhaus to us. Inside, everything is carefully placed in a way that is pleasing to the eye and has a feeling of feng shui. At the lower level, Lily hosts art classes for local people. On the middle level, there is a very large refectory style room with open plan kitchen. This is where we ate. The top floor has four en-suite rooms, three of which have balconies that overlook the waterway and one at the rear is slightly larger and has a balcony that overlooks the rear garden. There is also a sitting area and kitchenette for the convenience of those who are staying where cakes and tea and coffee were provided. The standard of the rooms was superb and they were spotlessly clean. The bathrooms were interesting with dual showers and wash basins so him and her could shower and clean their teeth at the same time. Good clean fun! On our arrival we were charmed to find a welcome bucket containing candies and nuts and vases of flowers abounding. Breakfast was interesting and different. It was served in bento boxes rather than traditional plates. Lily was careful to ask about our food preferences and breakfasts were delicious and wholesome. Lily kindly gave us a Chinese dinner along with her art class people and we met a couple of charming American ladies who I see have also posted a review. So, would I recommend staying there and would I stay there again? In both cases, the answer is a resounding "yes" but I fear that if Lily carries on like she has started, it might be very difficult to get a reservation.

The painting night she offers far exceeded my expectation. Lily is so welcoming and the location is beautiful. Our group event included wine, food and painting. All of which were amazing. The appetizers-dinner she provides is absolutely delicious and with all 12 of us there I did not hear one complaint. We all truly enjoyed ourselves and while there, we were already planning when we would return (which looks like may be multiple times). The variety of paintings they offered for us to paint and even came up with a painting for us when I described what we wanted. Thanks for such a great evening and I know all 12 of us will be back again soon.

We loved staying at Lily's. It's a very modern B&B, with clean lines. The place is well decorated with Lily's fathers artwork, which is so lovely. The rooms are spacious and ours had a front view of the river, which is really relaxing. The shower had two heads that dropped down from the ceiling! We ate both dinner and breakfast there. Hotpot was delicious and unique! We loved the sauce and the dumplings were to die for! Breakfast was also Chinese-ish style and served in a bento box: fruit and yogurt, sausage, egg and bacon omelet, and broccoli. Very tasty! Lily and Steve are excellent hosts! They were happy to give are recommendations and just chat. We had a great time and would love to go back again sometime.
